About Saree
Saree has always had an eye for design. Creativity runs in her family, with her grandmother making her own clothes and her uncle earning his BFA, and naturally, she’s followed in their footsteps.
After earning a BA from McGill and an MBA from Western, she built a successful business career in Toronto’s financial sector, but design remained her true calling. In 2013, she combined her business skills with her passion for creating by launching her own Decorating Den Interiors franchise.
For more than a decade, Saree has created spaces that reflect her clients’ lives and bring them joy. Her work spans styles from farmhouse chic to minimalism and bold maximilism, always guided by what feels authentic to the homeowner. Clients are drawn not only to her award-winning designs but also her calm, approachable nature.
“Decorating is autobiography“
– Gloria Vanderbilt
This idea deeply resonates with Saree. She views herself as a medium for her clients, translating their stories into beautiful, livable spaces.
Outside of her design work, Saree enjoys living in the Orléans neighborhood of Ottawa. She enjoys traveling, surfing, and exploring earth-healing practices. She also collects children’s picture books, inspired by their artful illustrations and inventive storytelling—each one a small work of art that fuels her creativity.
