Mid-Century Modern Dining Area Transformation

Project Overview:

To start, we selected low-back, mid-century modern dining chairs in a striking deep yellow to match the dining table, sideboard, and tulip art collection. A Sputnik-inspired light fixture above the dining table honors the client’s original starburst wall decor in the adjacent living room. We added in a patterned wool rug to unite the kitchen and living room’s colours. Counter stools with light-toned wood detailing create an inviting ambiance. Our end goal was to achieve a unified, stylish, and colourful open-concept dining area, seamlessly integrating mid-century modern pieces with 21st century functionality.
